The Famous Jalan Batai Char Kway Teow
Are you a fan of Jalan Batai Restoran Seng Lee's Char Kway Teow? They are now in Klang! I chanced upon this famous Jalan Batai CKT on one of my food-tripping in Klang while visiting my childhood friend recently.
I was introduced to this famous Char Kway Teow of Jalan Batai by Karen Khoo, another foodie friend of mine who was a great fan of them. This stall has been operating at Seng Lee Restaurant in Jalan Batai, Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur for more than a few decades with huge fans followings.
Hawker Centre Along Jalan Gelugor, Klang
Jalan Batai Char Kway Teow opened at a hawker centre along Jalan Gelugor, Klang on May 1st, 2017. They may be new to Klang-nites, but they are still going strong with loyal fans from Klang Valley and new customers patronising or flocking this joint for their regular fix of Jalan Batai's famous Char Kuey Teow.
Full Of Wok-Hei Char Kway Teow Video
Watch this Amazing 2 Minutes Video and see how the owner, Uncle Eng Kim Soong aka Char Kway Teow Uncle whip-up a full of 'Wok -Hei' Char Kway Teow, absolutely fragrant and mouth-watering in such a short time. It may look simple or easy to cook but it's the special touch and skills perfected over the decades with his vigorous stir-frying technique in a scorching hot wok ensuring that the noodles are well-fried with great Wok-Hei!
Speed Cooking By Uncle Eng
Uncle Eng's Char Kway Teow tasted delicious and so full of Wok Hei, an important feature of how a good Char Kuey Teow should be. Fried in a cast iron wok with simple ingredients using flat rice noodles, both smooth yet chewy texture with prawns, cockles, bean sprouts, eggs and Chinese chives.

Notice The Plump Cockles & Prawns
This mildly spicy fried flat noodle dish is truly a gastronomical delight worth every penny with the generous serving of plump cockles and prawns which are quite rare in some places.
Happy Eats Cum Food-Tripping With My Family
While you are at the hawker centre at Jalan Gelugor in Klang, do look out for them - the yummy eats such as 'Meen Fun Kuih', chicken rice and Wantan noodles too. I have yet to try them as I'm stuffed with my food-tripping but I definitely will be back for more with recommendations from my dear old friend, Cheryl.
